Artwork

Now the most important thing about ordering your custom picks is the quality of the artwork. The better the artwork you provide - the better your picks will look. But you don't need to have artwork; if you just want to get text printed on you picks we can do that too.

Text

With text you need to consider several things - what you want your picks to say, how you want it positioned, and the font. Now remember a standard pick is only about 1.25" high x 1" wide - so you're not going to be able to fit your whole life story on the side of a pick. Now we don't have a set number of characters and lines because it is flexible depending on how big you make the font - but if you make the font too small then it becomes unreadable. The less you have the bigger you can print and the easier it is to read. Think about how you want to break the text up. Trying to fit long URL's (web addresses) all on one line is not a good idea - think about dropping the www., or breaking it up into several lines. Our URL isn't that long and could fit on one line and still be readable but here is an example.

Choose from our list of fonts. If you don't see the font you want you would need to create your image using our templates below or provide a copy of the font file. LIST OF CURRENT FONTS

Images

If your artwork is an image you can email us an image file or mail us a hardcopy - do not fax. To send us an image file create or scan your image at at least 600 dpi. It needs to be 1-bit color (black and white - no gray). The white will be the background color and will end up being whatever color the picks are - the black will be whatever imprint color you chose. We can't print color images or do any shading. PROVIDE YOUR ART AS AN IMAGE FILE (.jpg, .tif, .bmp, .eps, or .ai) OR IN A PINCH A .pdf WILL WORK BUT DO NOT SUPPLY ART AS A WORD DOCUMENT (.doc) OR EXCEL DOCUMENT (.xls). IF YOU HAVE A PHOTOSHOP IMAGE (.psd) PLEASE CONVERT TO EITHER AN .eps OR .ai FILE. Graphic programs we are using are Illustrator CS2 and Paint Shop Pro. Use our templates below to help with sizing. Do not re-size or alter the templates.

BAD ARTWORK do not supply artwork in color	BAD ARTWORK do not include gray or drop shadows
BAD ARTWORK do not provide negative even if you what white imprint on black picks.	GOOD ARTWORK black and white (no gray) white will be pick color, black will be imprint color

Print Area

Because of the size of the print pads we use print area is limited to about 1" diameter. So we are not able to print on the whole surface of the Style 351 and Style 346 picks. However this printable area can be moved around on the surface of the pick.
